If I could only use one word to describe Charleston it would be EASY.  

Charlie, as I call him, is by far the easiest foster dog I've ever had in my nearly 20 years of fostering.  He is approximately 6 years old and weighs about 70 lbs.  

He came to TSBR severely emancipated covered in filth, fleas and ticks from a despicable shelter known to many rescuers as the worst in the area.  He tested positive for heart worms as well as erlichia.  

He has now been neutered, has had heartworm treatment and is currently finishing up his medication for erlichia, and has enjoyed a small "spa day".

Charlie is a very low maintenance dog. He is housebroken and crate trained (actually runs into his crate), does not chew on anything inappropriate and is most comfortable lying on the floor at your feet.  He will take edible items off the kitchen counter if they are left unattended and within his reach.  

One other thing is that Charlie does not bark.  He gets along with other dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds. Interaction with cats is unknown.  However, with squirrels and rabbits I would suggest putting all your money on Charlie.

If you are looking for a handsome, well mannered, EASY, past the puppy stage Lab to be your companion, Charlie would be the one to consider!
