Shamus is currently on medical hold clearing intake and recovering from an injury. In the meantime here is a little about him. We anticipate him being ready to meet around March - April. 

Shamus is generally considered an Irish name, and I am definitely a pot o’ gold at the end of the rainbow. 

I am the quintessential Golden Retriever—100% charming and wonderful, even if I do say so myself. 

I’m big, goofy, energetic, loving, funny, adoring, snuggly, gorgeous, and completely lovable. My big personality matches my huge head and enormous sense of humor.  I’m housebroken and know how to use the dog door.  I love to play with my foster siblings. There aren’t any cats around here, but if they play with me, I’ll bet I can find a way to play with them. 

I don’t bark much—I’m the big and quiet type.  However,  I’m sort of an “in your face” kind of guy, because I really love to get all the loving and pats that I can, and get as close as I can to my people. Speaking of, I love kiddos.  I might be bigger than some of them, but as long as their petting me, we are all happy! 

I also LOVE toys.  I like to carry them around in my mouth all the time, which makes me even cuter.  Hey, it’s hard to be humble with looks like these!
